Why Eco printing?

Eco printing is also referred to as bundle dyeing or contact printing. Initially to understand why eco-printing we have to know what is an eco-printing process. This is a printing technique where imprints of plant materials such as leaves, flowers, bark, etc are achieved onto the fabric by rolling fabrics with plant materials in tight bundles and then steaming them. This is a slow and time-consuming yet meditative process in which nature gives its unique images on fabric as prints.
This process uses less water and energy as compared to other dyeing/printing techniques. The dye materials come from nature itself. There is no involvement of harmful chemicals. Fabrics used to practice this technique are pure and sustainable as well. Eco printing is a sustainable and eco-friendly method hence we adopted this technique at Leysha.
